If you've been sitting on the fence about whether or not using a panadapter on your HF station is for you, the latest version of NaP3 software might be just be what it takes to convince you to take the plunge.
Earlier this month, version 4.0.0 RC1 was released which now supports display of stations from various DX Clusters:
As you can see, the DX station is displayed right on the panadapter display, making it really easy to see what is going on in the band.
The software is free, but you still need a way to receive IF out from your rig and convert IF to audio input to your PC Soundcard. Several rigs including the Elecraft K3 and Yaesu FT DX-3000/5000TS provide the IF output and adding an interface like the LP-PAN does the conversion for your sound card. If you have a rig that provides IQ output, you can interface directly to your PC's sound card.
