One thing I don't like about most of these boards is they come with a 10kc
up switch.. A 5 kc up switch would be way more usable for me (with a +/-
3kc opened clarifier)
You can get the instructions from Less web site on the install, pretty easy to install but have to take the radio faceplate off to get into it, besides that simple alignment and it works good, the anl/nb switch I believe becomes your 40 up 40 down channel switch.
wavrider, OK I see what you mean..I guess I was thinking too much...hi...
The LesComm board I have has a 5 position rotary-switch that I put in
place of the talk-back control on a DX959..(yeah a lot of work) and a 10kc
switch that I havent placed yet..
The board plugged right in and worked 100% right away.I used the original Xtal for now as the one supplied does'nt put me where I want to go..
Everything is spot on since I did'nt change X-tal yet but will have to be alighned if I change it.
As a note of review..the first 4 bands are 40 channel bands but the
5th band spot only works channels 1-10.. if you read all the Tech pages
on the LesComm site they hint at this, but keep that in mind when ur
figuring out where you want the rig to op...
They even give you the proper mounting hardware to mount the board.
