Less complicated to program

For those of you that own or use more then one kind of hand held, witch model or brand was the least complicated to program. I want to get me a user friendly one for my first handy talkie. Looking at a 2m, 70cm.

some of the Chinese ones despite the horrible instructions are very user friendly, far more so than my Icoms

I haven't owned a chinese unit yet, but hopefully soon. The Kenwood THF-6a was pretty straight forward. The VX-8 that I have now is pretty easy to program, but you can't delete or move the memories around with just the radio alone. If you get the software by RT Systems, it becomes REALLY easy.

I bought the software an cable for my Vertex HT, $35 I think. Programmed 30 some channels in less than 10 minutes, pushed the enter button an it was done in about 30 seconds....
