My FT101 has a 1816? bulb in the back as a "fuse" for the front end.
Obviously a 130V bulb gives me low receive but a no.47 gives me better receive than the 1816....Is the receiver aligned to this bulb?
Anyone ever played with different ma and voltages or is it as I said, aligned to the 1816?

'Radio Tech' - a forum member here - has made quite a few YouTube videos on the FT-101. He has quite a bit of experience with these radios. You may want to PM him; or he may see this thread and answer you here.

A quick search shows this one to be a good replacement if you can't find the original. 14.4v

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
