as far as i know lou is not out of business.
he might only be selling things on ebay these days though.
i built one of his amp kits about a year ago, and corresponded with him through emails to get some questions answered.

Somewere I have one of his boards laying around. I never built that version, but I am sure it works good. I have the plans also. Matter of fact that was one of my first amp books when I started out. I now have shelves full and still don't have it all figured out.
