Looks like eBay has really slit their own throats with the high fees etc ....

I've been looking there occasionally for a few things recently and am surprised / not surprised to see so many fewer listings with people running away in horror I guess. Especially with ham rigs .... you could look for a model and find dozens of them listed and now it's one or 2. I know I don't really want to sell there anymore. Their greed surely is coming back to hit them hard at least in certain categories. Who knows if they'll pivot and reduce Seller Fees in Categories that see a significant fall-off in sales .... may be too late to get customers back ?

Greed is taking over USA !

It used to be be such a simple straight forward platform. their fees that seem to get a piece of everything, on top of high shipping rates has put a damper on the whole operation. Went from an online yard sale type idea to big business.
The few things I've sold over the last year or so seemed like a little higher than a 14% charge overall, and seemed to me that it was a little more complicated to navigate.

I stopped selling at least 5 years ago now. Fees are outrageous, you pay fees on shipping, and you have no protection when selling something as not working and for parts only.

eBay used to pay instantly when they used PayPal. now takes 2 to 5 days due to hold back so eBay can make interest off of the money. I heard eBay sales are off 40% from a few years ao.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
