I know you disconnect the receive pre amp by cutting the 2 wires going to the main relay. Then solder a jumper across on that relay. I know you have to leave the pre amp broad in so it can key, but can you go ahead an remove the pre relay? 238
Once you install the jumper wire across the two outside lugs of the main relay and unhook the black wires to the preamp board, there is no reason to remove it.
The keying circuit is on the preamp circuit board. If it works like it should, I advise leaving it alone.
Removing the preamp relay reminds me of the old "rule of the shadetree mechanic"
OK. I was referring to just removing the relay not the broad. I know the broad has to be in there, just was not sure about the relay. Probably just leave alone. Thanks Jim
