I put my v58 together in the house other than the radials and I used the anti seize/corrosion stuff on everything there is. Once out side I stuck the radials on an stuck it on a 10 ft pole to ck swr. It was 1.1 on ch1 an 1.5 on 40 so I just left well enough alone an stuck it up like it was. Been up right at 2 years now an the swr hasn't changed one iota.
