Do noise canceling devices like the MFJ-1025 reduce atmospheric noise or are they only effective on man made noise?

I just used a magmount cb antenna for #2. Worked very well.
Didn't Moleculo do a review on this? I can't seem to find it. Maybe it was a review he did for cbradio magazine? It's out there somewhere.
It works great for man made noise. JPS made a unit called ANC-4, then Timewave bought them out. That's the one I had. I imagine the MFJ unit works the same. The important thing is to be patient. Depending on the noise source, it can take a great deal of experimentation getting it to work. Follow the directions carefully.
