MFJ - 868 SWR/Wattmeter

I just recently picked up MFJ's "Worlds Largest SWR / Wattmeter" for my shack http://www.mfjenterprises.com/products.php?prodid=MFJ-868
This is a large and very easy to read meter and it appears to be pretty accurate.

They are probably about as accurate as anything 'MFJ' makes. Not exactly calibration lab quality, but certainly accurate enough for average use. The size makes for a nice meter, easy to read. I wish it were a 'cross-needle' type rather than 'single', but then I 'wish' a lot of things.

Nice, big, easy to read, but you still have to go through the recalibration process every time you change frequency or power level by a significant amount. Why not get a good dual needle meter and read forward and reflected power at the same time, AND SWR as well? Those you don't need to calibrate.

For my application (CB Radio) recalibration has not really been a problem. The MFJ-868 seems to be pretty accurate and it is very, very easy to read.
i got the mfj-816 small single meter works great for doing

While on the subject of SWR/Power meters, I just bought the MFJ-826. It is the digital readout meter. I will let everone know what I think when I get to test it out.

That should be interesting, Crusher. I know that digital readouts are not good for tuning circuits because you can't actually SEE a sharp peak or dip, which an analog meter shows very clearly.
