As we all know MFJ announced that they were going to close, I was thinking today about if I need any manuals or other information on my mighty fine junk.
It might be a good idea, if you own anything they have built, to go download what you might need.
Never know how long a site might last if someone stops paying the bill.
Just a thought.

Yes, MFJ ceased production operations last May buy I read where they did announce there will be doing warranty service for at least a year so that time has passed so maybe that's going to be completely it very soon.

I already downloaded and saved manuals on the few of their products I have for future reference so that is good advice to do so now. I did notice MFJ stopped including manuals with some or maybe all of their products a couple years ago and included a paper notification in the box to go on their website and view/download your product manual from their website which was fine with me. My Kenwood radio manuals are still pristine being I find it easier just to download and view them on computer.

Archive manuals can be found on sites like ManualsLib but it's all dependent if the product you need the manual for was uploaded to their website. These work in a pinch but it's easier and much better to have the full PDF file direct from the manufacture.

We still haven't seen a buyer that will meets MFJ's demands to continue on with their line. Maybe when the old man passes on, something may change.

Their Ameritron tube amps were popular and offered different models and power levels with reasonable prices. The Ameritron ALS-500 was the last available mobile HF amp that I'm aware of. The AL-1200 amp with the Eimac 3CX1200 Z7 tube are coveted by some if you can find one. The only one's that come up for sale used are the A7 tubes.
