Anybody heard of this yet? I was on 38 LSB and heard a guy talking about it. He said it was a protype that would be out soon.

The Mirage brand has always been a clean out old stock or clone type product. For example I have a mint orange display Mirage 2950. These hit the market first as a clone and then they were old stock from RCI when the new DX version first came out.

If it is a "new Mirage radio" then there is already a name brand version selling right now. They would then sell all the stock parts and radio's leftover to Mirage to be re-named and sold off.

Google has nothing so we will see I guess.

Ranger build most of the Mirage line for them just like they build the Galaxy,Connex and General line of radios.

It not the Mirage mx36HP that he was talking about.....GI JOE'S: MIRAGE RADIOS BY RANGER - MIRAGE 10 METER RADIOS
It is a bit high priced for just a AM Only radio.........
Came out last year and I think that is the only model they have now.

Update New Radio Mirage MX-86hp

I just got word of it today. It will be a 10 Meter radio with sideband Model number is MX-86HP That all I know as of now.

I have not played with one but have talked to someone with a different badged one who said it does OK for the under $100.If you needed a small footprint AM/FM radio (about the same size as a Uniden 510XL) with extra channels, this would probably fit the bill.
