In the current politically correct arena I wanted to get permission well in advance. It is for a hunting rifle I am building. I completely understand if this is not allowed. I understand the world we live in today is not what it was 20, 30, 40 years ago.

No hard felling no matter what the ruling is I will respect it.

No problem. We have had members post pix of their latest purchases. We just draw the line at selling guns on the swap shop that's all.

Ok, Thanks! Ya I am actually carving 3 even though I only need two. I got great deals on really nice wood with just a few flaws. So wood that would have cost me $200 to $400 I got for $69-$100. Hard to say no when you get a deal like that.

I am not a wood worker so I work slowly becasue it is so easy to take off too much and then you can not put it back! So I use the chisels sparingly and do most of my work with sand paper.

I can do a good job but it is hard for me and I have to go slowly. I would like to learn to checker but I just do not have the time to put into that skill set. Maybe when my twins are out of high school I can find the time.
