Can a motorola radius m1225 vhf radio be programed for murs? I got one for cheap and thought it would make a nice murs radio only thing that get me is the chanel spacing. Motorola site says either 12.5 or 25khz spacing.

Yes. Its not legal, but unless you are acting like an ass you will never have any problems.

Don't worry about channel spacing. Just program it here:

151.820 (very popular in Los Angeles!)
151.880
151.940
154.570
154.600

Read more about MURS here:

For the record, the owner of this site IS an ass.

Hey...

It is indeed a Great radio the Icom IC-7000
What can it not do?...You ask..

Well would you believe they didnt put the 222 band in..
oh and they left out D-star
Also no 1.2 gig band..

So in closing...
the IC-7000 is a great radio..
but it does not have everything..

Oh and on HF the 756 Pro 3 and IC-7800 Perform better as well
