Well, when I bought my 2m base antenna, the seller decided to throw in this radio with it.

It's a Motorola Mocom-10 Low band.

I plugged it in, it appears to function. If I turn the squelch off, it produces static, and if I key up, I hear a kerchunk and it appears to draw quite a bit of electricity (beautiful buzz of high voltage electricity).

I had to pull it apart to identify it.

D41AAN
D = Dash
41 = 30w, Low Band
AAN = Mocom 10 Mobile (1970 or so)

And that's the extent google could teach me about it.

I saw two crystals, so I went ahead and pulled them.

They both rattle (broken crystals :sad:), however, they're both labeled.

Left : R35.960, 4488.125
Right : T35.960, 1986.66 (there's a faint 1 stamped before the first 1, so it might be 11986.66)

Could someone enlighten me on this radio some more?

I know it's a 30w FM radio with an on-off PL switch (no idea what tone), and past that, I have no idea. I'd love to retune it for 29.600 mhz, however, it can only do one channel.

Ideas? Suggestions?
