Annoying ? , maybe, but I was guilty at one time along with a few other things.
In my younger life I had a Cobra 29 GTL with a ping/double ping in a (gasp!)1973 Ford Pinto Squire Station wagon, driving a modulator, driving a 6 transistor amp, into a 96" whip on the luggage rack.
I was a AM junkie back then......
I learned, but is was fun learning
