Bought this from Facebook Marketplace for $15. Don't know the name of it. It's somewhat resonate on 2 meters. It seems to work alright. I just had a 1/4 2 meter antenna on my Scanner.

Been playing with it between rain showers. It actually seems to work good. Local V/U really shines as does 800 MHz. I like it cause it's cool looking. I know it'll be a conversation starter, so I need to think up a bullshit story to dazzle.

Dead-on.

Years ago I bought a vehicle from an older guy was showing me his big new motorhome. (“The hell with travel trailers, I’m pushing buttons from here on”).

Had an electric deploy/retract main awning when that was new. Huge.

Said he was showing it to his neighbor. “Voice command” (remote control in pocket).

Opportunity awaits those prepared.

Mud , I'm sure it works better than the old Mag Mount whip type RS sold ? I bought for $6.95 each . I bought 2 @ that $ & had them over 10 years , but 3 weeks ago the magnet let loose on I-95 @ 80mph & antenna was stuck to the side of my Lariat ! Dog wasn't happy as that's the rear window he looks out of . But I didn't loose it ! :ROFLMAO: Stay Healthy & Safe ! 73 & God Bless ! Leo

At first, I was skeptical about this antenna. Practically every evening, I've been comparing it with my other antennas. I've yet to mount it on a groundplane to use as a base antenna, but I suspect it will be a good one. This jobber shines on all the scanner bands. UHF, 800 and 1.2 gigs is where it outperforms my Larsen Tri-Band. Oddly, this antenna beats everything I have on low band. I think the price scares people away. It looks weird, but it Def. It works.
