Bolero is a really tricky piece for the snare drummer ... which was me a couple of years ago. I'd "played" it many times in my head or tapping my fingers, and it was an honor and a challenge to actually perform it. Problem is keeping the rhythm steady at triple-piano levels. Basically it's a crescendo starting with the first measure and ending anywhere from 12-15 minutes later, very loudly.
