NASA's X59


That does look cool, but I have questions. I thought I remember Elon Musk talking about the shape of rocket tips, stating that pointy was not the best way to make something aerodynamic. Looks cool, but how does it corner being so long? The long nose reminds me of speed boats when they catch a little air and their ass end passes them up. What is it's function anyhow? Their new photo plane? I don't see much use for those in space. Not being a downer, I just don't know why tax dollars went to that.

Very cool. The idea is the first SuperSonic that won't go BOOM according to an article @ Space.com. Just a thump.
