Can anyone advise me whether putting the ndb transmitter and uhf radio inside one cabinet will cause interference with each other?

greetings and welcome to the forum:

you will have to give it a try and see if it picks up any interference, ac noise is a problem for LF but specifically i would think that antenna type and mounting location along with filtering would be of greater consideration as far as overloading from the uhf transmitting signal vs location of uhf transmitter.

I have never tried ndb so I can't say for sure, hopefully someone will come along and can add some more information.

best of luck, enjoy the hobby.

By "NDB", are we talking about "non-directional beacon" transmitting? Those are typically down in the hundreds of KHz - quite a lot of separation as far as UHF goes. However, it depends on how much power each transmitter is radiating and how well shielded the transmitters' cabinets and such are. Try it out and see, bearing in mind that some equipment might be pretty tightly regulated as far as installation locations.

Like Beetle I too think of "NDB" as "non-directional beacon" such as is used on the longwave bands for navigation or as markers. If that is the case I can't really see why there would be any issue with them in the same cabinet as long as the actual installation was done correctly regarding routing of wires, grounding etc.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
