Pulled a bit over 140 amps from it today. I had someone watch the current meter while I keyed at progressively higher drive levels for about 2 seconds each, with a short break in between. Never dropped below 15 volts. I don't think the smoke and mirrors post is in the foreseeable future!

You won't smoke it like that... If that's the level your going to run it at, your "duty cycle" is so low you would never work them...

Think about it, 2 second key ups with 10 seconds off they key... That's 15 - 20 percent?


You should be able to run a sweet sixteen and driver with that setup. Congrats. I wouldn't go much larger than that, though. Each 2879 = 20 amps

yes, we talked about just using the [small] resistance in the wire, coiled up, might have worked.
