Just installed a new patriot antenna 2 stages works very well but I’m confused on the swr my 148gtl swr meter reads 3.0 and when I test the antenna to radio with my Dosey meter in line it reads a flat 1

Try another radio with built in SWR meter
and /or another external meter in order for you to discard if it is the radio or the antenna. An antenna analyzer would be best.

Actually I linked to the last page not the beginning,
Is were it started.

Obviously something is not right for a 80 ohm reading.
Can you check the coax itself with your analyzer?
Can you measure the antenna at the feed point?

I will do a test today I’ll put a dummyload on one end and check it with analyzer will post my results here thanks

We’ll coax is hooked up from the sark100 to the antenna and I get a reading of 80 ohms
Jimmy do you calibrate your SARK100 every time you use...it per the manual...if it has a manual?

Good luck.

Used to work from the radio don’t know what happen any help would be great
There is a Tuning pot inside the radio that is adjustable so never trust the internal meter. A Dosey is not a good wattmeter but it's OK for just SWR readings.
