Well fellas I bought myself a Christmas present. I came across this new old astatic microphone and couldn't resist the urge of buying it. I'm not sure why I have a thing for mics but especially old mics as this one. Opened it up and took it apart because you have to see what's inside, right. Maybe it's just me but even the feel of the plastic on this old astatic feels quality. The switch seems to be of much better quality, takes more force to engage and and even has a nice click when engaged. I've attached some photos to show you guys the beauty. And man check out the 4 pin connector on this thing, talk about built to last.. I hope not to annoy you fellas, I'm like a kid marveling at this piece of American history.
Can anyone tell me an approximate age of this old mic?

Another vintage 636L with a different label is being sold on Ebay now. This one isn’t being sold in a blister pack either, but I need to do some research in regards their age.
