New Radio Day

That's a beautiful radio, back then it seems they went through a lot of trouble to make them pleasing to the eye. Now days there kinda like our cars not a lot of imagination goes into the design, in my opinion

There once was an American market with American manufacturers to supply it. With a nice high tariff barrier to keep Third World slave economies away. In place since the beginning.

The average American made 400% more in 1960 in the same job his father had in 1935.

That’s just too much for little people, of course. As political freedom is dependent on economic freedom, hell, they might get to thinking they want their money (gold) back. Socialism Round Three came into being circa 1964..

Beauty in an industrial product is relative. Form should follow function. But there’s no reason it can’t look good or last a generation or more.

But as you now live in Brasil-North, be glad you can still afford slave labor electronics.

Is this TC-III working without issue?
As with anything from the mid 60s I’m sure it could use a cap or two due to a slight hum from the speaker but otherwise,
Yeah she’s talkin! Even the meters work, and from what I’m told by someone who really knows these radios very well , the meters from the factory were basically junk and didn’t last very long LOL.
