Okay I have a Cobra 29 WX NW ST. Buddy of mine gave it to me after he hooked it up backwards without a fuse. I've already replaced the D23 diode. Still doesn't turn on. Any ideas? Where can i get a diagram for this radio?

Check the traces under the board real good. Sometimes it burns these off. Also check the wires going from the power plug to the board.
Well you were right Radio Tech. Burned the tracer right where the negative wire is soldered to the board. Put a dab of solder there and fired right up. Thanks guys.

Common problem with hooked up backwards. The traces are the weakest link. Sometimes the diode does not catch it fast enough.
See it all the time.
