I have one of these radios and wanted to know if they are any good.Its in great shape and works great.Does any one know of a web site where I can get some information on these radios?

I have a dx990v, rocking radio. paired with an astatic echomax mic and a couple 519's it was truely a worldwide radio. literally
only thing I don't like is a slight amount of noise (1db) from the freq counter on 27.115. other than that it's a great base.
there are no sites I can find for these radios. there are some posts in the archived newsgroups stored on google groups that tell their story but not much else.
This forum does not allow a single user to have more than one username. If anyone wants to change their username contact an admin and it will be done. Multiple accounts belonging to the same member will be deleted without warning.
