Has anyone figured out a Npc mod for the version 2 (newer) Stryker 497 HPC? Thanks

Not meant to be confrontational, but for the life of me I can not imagine why someone would do this to a Stryker. The Stryker radios are capable of over-swing, or over- mod via a couple of simple adjustments. I may be old school, but I just don't get the idea that a radio needs to be butchered.

Does anyone have a pic of where to put the npc mod on a stryker sr497hp thats 9 yrs old & has the tan board w a 2290 in it? Any help greatly appreciated

You might pitch that question in a new thread and see how it goes. This thread is on the 447hpc2 which is a different animal all together.

Just saying, it may get better replies.

So I’ve looked and looked and still don’t know where the npc mod goes. The pics and part numbers are not like my 447hpc2. I’ve seen the mod on the solder side going to one of the electrolytic caps but can’t remember which

Put u a 1N4148 diode black band (cathode) facing that middle leg of regulator & use a 68 ohm resistor connect to the anode end of diode to resistor & then solder other end of resistor to + side of that small cap where the end of the pink line is .. shell swing like the dickens now

I don't know about this chassis, but I do know the 1n4148 is a small signal diode and not a zener and the band details the cathode (negative) end and not the anode (positive). Good luck.
