I always heard they were turds. The looks turns me off. I heard a dude using one on an old Washington. It sounded pretty damn good. I was mildly impressed.

Its definitely got an ugg factor to it. Cant say I wouldn't try it but im not running out to buy one either.

I actually wonder if there could be a couple variations of the mic. Mine is definitely short compared to an Astatic...but that pic looks shorter than mine.

That's what it is. It looks like an 80's touch lamp base.

I see a lot of good reviews on this mic surprisingly. Does need a frilly lamp shade lol.

It's not too bad looking I guess and if it performs well then that's a plus.. it's no US built silver eagle..keep in mind..
