Having some lag in power at key up. Dead keys 80 then few seconds goes to 100. Have checked tubes and they seem fine on tester.

The tube tester can never put a full load onto the tubes.

And your tubes are misbehaving only after a few seconds of full load. Good chance the trouble is one or more tubes.

Is this a Skipper?

Or a 300A?

My skipper you have to key up to heat tubes up to make more watts going to try a recap first because it has 8950 tubes

I have the 300A, and the hotter it gets...the more power I see...

This amp has 8950 tube and its wired for 6.3v that's the problem figured it out today

It has the 8950 in a 6lf6 wired socket
