1-12jb6 driving 2-8950's. I have a cobra 142gtl with variable power that will dial down to 1/2w. what should I run my carrier at coming outta radio??

Run about a watt in and the driver tube will last a lot longer. You will get a lot of great tube audio with good foward swing.

10-4 farmboy, i ran it a couple times with a 1/2w going into her. I got great reports with it. I have variable so when I finally get another 8950 tube I will hook her back up and get her setup just right.
I have a Palomar 200-X and I drive it with 3 watts and it gives me RMS of 50 and 200 nice amp.

My PAL 201 b does about the same thing for output power... I haven't hit the 300 watt mark though but I'm taking it easy on it. It needs a rebuild.

Old old post I see but I have one of these that will do 100 watts till you talk on it about 30 seconds then it warms up and get 300 ish out weak tube maybe? The filter caps have been changed also the 1000uf by on the back of the rear final tube.
