Still not as sexy as a lot of your shacks, but I have to share space with wifes computer so best I can do for the moment. Yes I know my cheap shelf is experiencing subsidence. I really should get a proper shelf and get some of this into the storage closet lol. It's starting to look like a hoarders haven.

How do you like that jetstream jtps50? Has it served well?
I've been eyeing those since they came out and were above 110 bucks. Now they're about a buck seventy and makes me wish I'd have gotten one sooner.

It has yes. It runs that cobra 2x2879 real (Toshibas) at full chat and has plenty of headroom left. I saw the prices recently its crazy. I got that one on sale from a ham place for 89.00 plus shipping and tax of course probably 3 years ago?
Been very happy with it.

it looks like your table is bending due to all the huge radios on there

An embarrassing moment its true. I have since updated the on table arrangement lol. Offscreen is a "Hear it" DSP speaker or I wouldnt be able to DX at all the electrical noise at my home is appalling.
(Done the breaker test - it isnt me)

i see you have a lincoln too. i have that one also, but i notice when i try to transmit on the USB or LSB it doesnt show any transmit strenght on the meter like with AM or FM. Do you have the same thing

That would likely be because when you are in either sideband mode you have no carrier, or power output. When you speak or whistle for example, you generate modulation which drives your power and your meter should display output during that time. I've made a mess of the explanation and others I'm sure can explain it better but that's the general idea of why.

The only computer in my shack is an ancient laptop running Windows XP that I use for logging and for monitoring a couple propagation sites and clusters.

To be fair, THAT computer visible is my wifes.
All my comps are in my office. I share desk space with her for the radios.
That monitor thats on is purely stand alone running off the radio. No PC required.

That monitor looks great, since it's only hooked up to the radio, we will let you slide. Haha! Maybe someday I will get a box with a big piece of glass. I have a laptop computer in my shack so I can talk on the radio while I am here.
