Going through some more of my late father in laws things, I found these service bulletins for I believe the 858 chassis Washington's. I don't know if these have any bearing on the 8719 radios.
I guess back in the day they, President, kept more abreast with their products and offered and published solutions. One letter looks to be a direct response to a question sent to President on mobile installation.
I haven't seen these going around so I hope it may help somebody.
