Going through some more of my late father in laws things, I found these service bulletins for I believe the 858 chassis Washington's. I don't know if these have any bearing on the 8719 radios.
I guess back in the day they, President, kept more abreast with their products and offered and published solutions. One letter looks to be a direct response to a question sent to President on mobile installation.
I haven't seen these going around so I hope it may help somebody.
I have 2 of the bases that I should probably drag out and run for a while myself.

Always nice to have the information. I have a few Realistic TRC-449 radios as well as 138 XLR radios. There was a few differences on the 138 XLR where it wasn't needed to be done to the TRC-449, but I forgot what that was.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
