putting up antenna

hello everyone i plan on putting up a 102 steel whip on a 60 ft trileg antenna base, ataching it to my metal shop for ground plane,while useing metal wire for towerties,orbraces,for the tower, there are no power lines in1/4 mile,just 2 metal buildings,in close prox. I plan on driving a ground rod, but would welcome any and all tips for getting the best results

I really doubt if a ground rod would be necessary. Tuning that 102" whip will be necessary.

Put up an Antron A99 and a good piece of coax.
Then, everything will fall right into place.
Save the 102" steel whip for your truck.
Just thinking out loud...
