QRM on 28.850 MHz

anyone else hearing the QRM on 28.850 +/-?

I hear two different transmitters sending a single tone back and forth to each other.

I only hear them when the band is open to europe for F2 propagation.

one transmitter is often s9+40 and the other s9+20.

I have tuned around and I can't hear anything on any freq that would have 28.850 as an odd harmonic.

@ about one minute, he spins the VFO,... you can tell by the number of turns how wiiiiiiide the signal is.

as i post this, the signal is S9+20 in West Tn.

the british Amateurs are saying that their beam headings and propagation distances make it coming from iran.

They must have some pretty narrow beamwidth antennas to narrow it down to a single country the size of Iran at that distance. The gain on such a narrow antenna must be about 25dB. I want one for 20m.
