I live in right in the city, with lots of man made noise around me. Power lines, lights, A/C units etc etc.

Which radios have the best receive section for not being as susceptible to all the noise. Speaking from past experience or opinion.

Thanks in advance.

I'll second the 7300. I run this radio for a base and the noise blanker makes power line noise disappear. My mobile is an Anytone 6666, which after a full alignment has a receiver close to the 7300 as long as there aren't any impulse noises or carriers. Also I run the receive audio through a $220 noise cancelling speaker to knock down the static, the 7300 has noise reduction built in.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
