Hello I’m looking at a ranger RCI 2970 N2 for sale very clean looks like an older version with the green LCD the newer ones had green and Blue this is the serial Number T90300928 can I tell year of manufacture from this serial number .

He couldn’t give a definite Answer only that it’s from the 2000’s it’s an old serial number
My best educated guess would be 2009. Used to be you could spot an open date code on one component or another inside. Surface mount has put an end to that.
If it has MOSFET driver/final transistors, that would reinforce 2009 as a guess.
