ive seen them at coppers for under 20 bucks. i may just have to try one .ive been curious

I don't know anyone who runs one, but this one sounds alright. he did have the road devil turned up too high though.

I've heard of people cutting out the capacitor inside the mic, like they used to do on the rk56. I got mine from redman a couple years ago, can't see where any mods were done.
There are a couple vids on the net comparing them with other mics ss well, 636, 575 m6 and some others. The sra198 cancels noise and sounds best imo.

Another old thread but, the Ranger SRA-198 is the best mic I've used to date.
It works and sounds great on my Galaxy DX 94HP.
