The new Lincoln 2 seems to have a few issues on receive so you may want to wait a while until they do an update.

Agreed, too soon to really see how the Lincoln II is. Are they even selling them here in the USA?

At this point with all the bad press about the Lincoln 2, I would say get an rci2950dx. Like posted, it's a proven good radio and has been for quite some time. From what I have heard the same people the make the anytone, make the Lincoln 2.

If you think you might ever try for your ham lic consider that the 2950dx will do 10 and 12 meters as well.
At this point it looks like the lincoln 2 stops at 25.615 or so.
