Re: help for buddygunzz's 2510 problem

THe manual shows then as MV1YHS,

or MV-1YH-S

Uniden PN: BDFY0058001 (Varistor)

I think in Galaxy radios they use 1n4148's.. and for the MRF455 mod I have used 1N4001's.

I do not know of a 'Tried and True' substitute for it.

In the new Lincoln's they us a Surface Mount transistor as the Bias Diode (use 2 of the 3 leads)

Also in later 2510's they used similar Surface mounted Transistors on a Small PCB with 2 leads much like the older ones. (in size and fit)

Anyone have success with a replacement??

We all would like to know..

Please let me know what you have for Each Bias reading:

Mode:USB No Mod.

Remove the B002(PB-100) from the Main PCB.

Connect a DC Ammeter (+) to TP4, (-) to TP3.

Adjust VR112 for 50mA reading on the DC Ammeter.

Connect a DC Ammeter (+) to TP4, (-) to TP2.

Adjust VR113 for 50 mA reading on DC Ammeter.
