Realistic TRC 457 heats up, drifts, un adjustable

It's an OCXO now! What is the DC current draw? Is it at least close to this?

With the original 3 amp fuse and in transmit on ssb with a tone, it does not display dimmed lights and not blowing the fuse. Nothing appears to be surging. Im probably going to replace the T03 anyway. Since I put in a fan the heat is way less. In rx mode its a normal temp. The only time it gets really hot is in SSB with a mic tone for adjusting but that fan is doing a great job. Still going to run more diagnostics on the coils, the crystals, the trimmer caps and the disc caps in the PLL area as something is still not right with the cover in place

I did this.. Put in the 1n914 and it cut the udio in half. I then put in a 4.7k resistor and it realy opened up the audio

Hi all I did the D23 diod and cap mod and my audio actually got weaker.. There is another mod that was done 2 diodes in series should I put that back to a singe diode don't remember the exact location but it'd close to D23 .. I replace the diod wit a 4.7 k resistor and it realy opened up the audio
