Yeah , w/o schematic unfortunately ....
I have all that hit around it but it's a transitional radio . after crystal but prior to LSI PLL chips .
Truly a strange beastie all its own.

The manual is a outstanding upgrade from the one I have . Thank You !!!
The wiring map alone is worth it .
Still looking for a Schematic... @LeapFrog Thank You again!
The reason there is no schematic in the service manual is because it was printed on a large loose foldout paper separate from the manual itself. I pulled out Sams # 102, and the TRC 57 schematic in it is 9 pages long. I'll scan it and will post it here soon. When I post it, I am going to omit the power supply and the clock schematics. The supply is pretty much standard Uniden, and if your clock isn't working you'd be better off to trash it and put a freq counter in its place. Check back here in a day or so. 73s.
A frequency display for this one will be tricky. This radio does the same 2.5 kHz jump upwards in VCO frequency that the later 40-channel TRC-457 and similar uPD858 radios do.
If you set the counter to read correctly in AM receive, it will read 2.5 kHz high when you transmit.
And in USB mode.
Will read 2.5 kHz low on LSB.
The chart at the bottom of page 12 in the service manual shows this.
I did a little enhancement on those scans to eliminate the background bleed-through plus added more black to the gray scale. It made the a little easier, at least for my eyes to read. I also wanted these for my archive and I thought you may like these a little better too.
