On my galaxy 959 when receiving a transmission, I hear a loud squelch sound mixed with the transmitters voice. Could this be caused by the transmitters antenna?

If your 959 appears to work fine when communicating with other stations then i'm sure your radio is fine. Hard to say what the problem is with the other station, background noise, bad mic, electrical interference, bad antenna, or a problem with the radio. Based on the limited information you gave it could have been your receive if you were in a bad area with electrical noise.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
