Great QSO with 898 Doffo from Kansas just now! That Kraco radio sounds amazing my friend! Nice loud audio and bang on frequency. Also heard 226 calling CQ but couldn't make the trip to Texas today. Heard a West Virginia station too.....
Someone is trying to jam the channel with white noise and shit but it's mostly in the background.....overall the channel is pretty quiet. Where is everyone else?

Lots of 16AM on my end today but they take a break now and again. I'll throw my 20 watts out there and see what happens. Good luck today folks.
Made the connection with 226 at the top of last hour, and a repeat performance from 898. Lots and lots of loud AM carriers squealing away which made it a bit challenging. Off to do family stuff now..........I'll try and get on again later.
Got to talk to KWB 6988 out of New York. Good few minutes while mother nature was letting us.
been between 16lsb, 35lsb, and 40usb for 3hrs and heard nothing but people speaking mexican and AM.

I do have a couple of AM stations talking on 16, but they are distant enough it isn't an issue. (yet)
I just got done talking to WDX 808 Delaware. Made a good signal into the old radio here. Good contact.
Great talking to you 898, you are sounding great on that old radio. I am talking on my Ares 2 with 40 watts into my Sirio 4 element, pointed at the Northwest corner. Great QSO and minimal interference, it's always great to talk to forum members. I will be on 37LSB this evening and 40 USB tomorrow, hope to talk to you again soon.

Didn't hear any WWDX folks at the top of the last hour. Too many AMers on the channel and now the splatter from 17 is becoming an issue too. I will try once more at 2pm PST.

At the top of the 4:00 o'clock hour I made contact with 226, 316 and 40 (mobile) in Ohio. Not bad for a barefoot Cherokee AH-100 SSB walkie talkie and a Starduster clone. The skip is fading in and out, but there are definitely periods where it is working for us.
Also heard 647 in W. Virginia, but he couldn't hear me shouting back. Trying again in 5 minutes for the 5:00 o'clock hour.
