I have a Drake RV-4 remote vfo and power supply. The bulb is burned out for the dial. The bulb and the schematic says it is an H53 bulb. Google assist says this bulb is not the same as an automotive 53 bulb. I've searched for a replacement bulb and am getting no where. Any ideas on how to find a replacement?

You might try something like these LED dome lights. I suspect they would be too bright. Adding some series resistance to each of them would solve that issue. Finding the ideal resistance value will take a little experimentation. I usually start high like 15K, then I work my way down from there.

Came to post this.

I have more 7 line stuff than I care to think about and am going to be replacing a lot of lamps when getting that gear back into the lineup.

Great Amatuer to deal with...price is price...sometimes more important to have available, then find the cheap solution.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
