RM203 and Anytone 6666??

Anyone run one with just Sideband..

Obviously AM would cook it..

My Quad 6 on lowest power does about 18w pep on SSB with a real 2 tone input..

The RM203 is rated to 20w..

My voice peaks on low are for the most part 12-14w on my meter.. whistle gets me to 18-19w.

SWR is like 1:2:1 or less on Ch38..

I have a 203 here, so I figured I'd ask first..

Doesn't the radio do 60w by it's self? The jump for 60 to 100 or even 120 would hardly be noticeable and not worth burning out the amp

I hear a call for help in the future for repair help. Leave the 203 on the shelf and when you find a cb that needs a little boost hook it up.
The drive requirements listed will cook the 203 in short order.
No more than 2 watts dead key, and no more than 12 watts pep on ssb.
