Somewhere between DC and Daylight..
Perhaps, Stranger in a Strange Land.

Looks like a forum that I invested a couple decades of my time into maintaining and moderating is going by the wayside. Kop knows which site, and some other members here may have also been members there.

The one reason I stuck with it so long was its blank-canvas approach to hosting articles on building, modding and repairing communications electronics. Short of starting up a blog or a dedicated mod project site, there's no way to reproduce much of that content. Or to document new projects.

Being an admin of said site allowed me to keep the S/N ratio in those threads very high, while allowing members to vent/banter/accost each other elsewhere in the forum sections set aside for such purposes. The overall attitude was close to that of WWDX. Some differences in ideology but more commonalities than not.

Almost all the friends I made there (literally, in the hundreds) are SK now or have departed for other pastures.

Time and tides wait for no man.

If anyone knows of a good landing place for this kind of stuff or if the forum needs a helping hand, keep me in mind.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
  • @ heartbreaker3473:
