RX/TX Normal Knob?

That switch is NOT for switching TX/RX, it is for switching between normal channel movement, and hard-wired channel 9 (emergency contact channel, all but useless these days). You are confusing the labels on your radio. The TX/RX is for the little light, as was mentioned above. The switch u r looking at probably has a label of something like ch9 when up, and normal when down.

My mistake I read the face plate wrong! You are 100% wright it has nothing to due with the Normal/Channel switch. It has a small light that changes color when I key the mike. You diagnosed my problem it was eye sight!
