What are some good satellite tracking programs..

Agreed. Used it for years and really like it. It's cheap too, in fact it's FREE!

Satscape for me. I also use a program on my Android called HamSatDroid. Ham Radio Deluxe's sat tracker is good, too.

For a quick visual check of where most of the common birds are, I click the Satellite Maps link at the top of the forum.

I use Satscape the most; but when I want to print multiple sats' passes to go into the field I think Orbitron does a better job of that.

SatPC32, Orbitron, and Ham Radio Deluxe are all good, and free. I use SatPC32 for doppler control of my Icom IC-910, works great.

Never had any problems with HRD, and it totally controls the rig and rotor.

I agree, Satscape is great. Another one is Orbitron... I use both. both are free!

Hi,my name is Matt and I just became a member of Radio Forum. My qth is a few miles west of Chicago. I wonder if there might be someone around here who assist me in getting into satellites. At the moment I only have HF gear but plan to purchase the proper equiptment for satellite communications. Looking forward to hearing from a helping hand.
