I had a dog one time that was protective as all get out. I had just bought a new truck and the wife and I took the dog and disappeared for the day. Stopped at a little junk shop off the beaten path and the old guy asked me how I liked my Ranger and asked if I minded if he took a look at it. I said "Sure help yourself". A couple seconds later I ran out of the shop yelling "OH JESUS!! LOOK ALL YOU WANT BUT WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR.!! I forgot the dog was with us. Samson was 100 pounds of teeth and attitude disguised as a German Shepherd/Malamute Husky cross.

I had two African Besenji's that absolutely hated my mother-in-law. They were very good judges of character. These dogs are used to hunt lions and two of these little dogs can take down a full grown water buffalo. They are roughly 24" tall at the shoulder. They don't bark either. They let the burglars slip in then they eat them.

My mother had one when I was a kid. You don't try to out bike them either.
